Lose the ‘Us and Them’ Attitude.

us and them

I’ve just realised that I’ve drifted away from campaigning for M.E.

I think it’s because we have a much bigger fight on our hands and that is the attack upon all disabled and vulnerable people in this country by our own Government.

It’s part of the ‘losing the Us and Them’ attitude I am proud to feel.

I stand up for myself with M.E….a friend with Cerebral Palsy…many friends with mental illness…a friend with Aspergers…a husband with paraplegia…a stranger with anything that limits their life, makes them feel less worthy or makes them so damned ill they can’t fight and speak out themselves.

We all need to pull together now.

We are all fighting for our rights, our sanity and our financial security.

We are fighting against a thought process that is so deeply embedded now that it’s going to be a struggle to make them lose that attitude that disability means ‘lesser being’ or ‘liar’ or ‘scrounger’

I’m willing to fight that attitude and take on that struggle for my own survival and those and I love and those I don’t even know…because we are all ONE!

Forget the ‘Us and Them’ and remember we are in this beautiful life together. 🙂

Allan Savory: How to green the world’s deserts and reverse climate change

This man, Allan Savory, once bought into a lie that everyone accepted blindly. This lie resulted in something horrible happening, which he supported at the time. But now he has a mission. A simple and beautiful mission: SAVE. THE. PLANET. He’s going to do it, too. Watch and be in awe.

“Desertification is a fancy word for land that is turning to desert,” begins Allan Savory in this quietly powerful talk. And terrifyingly, it’s happening to about two-thirds of the world’s grasslands, accelerating climate change and causing traditional grazing societies to descend into social chaos. Savory has devoted his life to stopping it. He now believes — and his work so far shows — that a surprising factor can protect grasslands and even reclaim degraded land that was once desert.
