Young journalist from #Newcastle dies whilst sleeping rough to highlight plight of #homeless

Christine Michael
“Oh no! This young man died while trying to get a place on the Intrepid Investigative Approach to Journalism Team for Channel 4. What does this show us? Young people, desperate for work, putting themselves at risk? So very sad – utterly tragic – that young people should feel it necessary to put themselves at risk for the possibility of a job. What is happening here? And perhaps Channel 4 should think again about their ‘recruiting’ techniques, with ‘intrepid’ sown into the mix? Easy for execs somewhere to dream up ideas…without thought of the consequences..”
